Traceability is compulsory for boat drives
Like all boat drives, Torqeedo products are subject to national and European legislation covering equipment and products (e.g. the German Equipment and Product Safety Act, the EU Machinery Directive). They oblige us to take measures to ensure that products and components can be traced towards both the supplier and the customer. Should safety-relevant information become available with regard to your Torqeedo product in future, your registration will help us to contact you.

Increased theft protection – serial number traceability helps
Having the serial number of your product at our disposal means that we can identify your Torqeedo product as your property during any maintenance, repair work or claim processing. This may help us to assist you in recovering your property in the event of theft. Worldwide, of course. (It is unfortunately not possible to track stolen outboards using the integrated GPS receiver as the device only receives positioning data and has no transmitter function.)
