Kiel, Germany (20 June 2025) – Torqeedo, a leading company for electric propulsion systems on the water, will present its extensive product portfolio of electric motors for leisure boats at Kiel Week from June 21 to 29. Kiel Week brings together world-class sailing and international audiences in a unique celebration of sport, culture, and maritime spirit on Germany’s Baltic coast, drawing over 3 million visitors each year. Visitors have the opportunity to test various motors on the Kiel Fjord. They can also find out more about the product portfolio at the stand on the Promenade South in Schilksee and purchase suitable models from a local dealer. On June 28, Torqeedo is also inviting visitors to the “Cleanup Challenge”, a litter collection initiative on the Schilksee beach.

Electric test drives on the Kiel Fjord

Various boats with different motors are available for test drives in the Olympia Marina, including the sporty YAM boats from Yamaha. In combination with the leisure motors from Torqeedo, these offer maximum comfort and performance on the water. Torqeedo has been part of the global Yamaha company since April 2024. Together for clean waters and their surroundings: litter collection initiative on June 28

On Saturday, June 28, Torqeedo invites anyone interested to join them starting at 2 p.m. to clean the Schilksee beach area and raise awareness for clean waters and their surroundings. The meeting point is the Torqeedo stand on Promenade South in Schilksee Olympia Marina. Participants in the "Cleanup Challenge" will make a direct contribution to environmental protection and have the chance to win fantastic prizes. All necessary equipment will be provided, and registration is not required.
